Monitoring and Logs

Live View and the Dashboard

The switch in the header determines what the middle area shows.

ViewShows
RulesOne rule in full. Used for building rules.
DashboardAll cameras and values at once, as tiles. Used for monitoring.
Dashboard view
Dashboard view. The minus and plus buttons fit 1 to 4 tiles per row.

Video streams directly from the controller to the browser or phone without an intermediate server, and is shown only while connected and running.

Note The dashboard is built from what the rules actually use. If it is empty, no rule has a camera or value condition yet.

The Event Log

The right area lists recent detections, newest first. Filter by kind with the chips, or change the period with the time control above them: from the last 30 minutes to the last 7 days, plus today, yesterday, and a custom range.

This area is a summary. To view all records, click See all records in the log window.

The event log window
The event log window. Select the period and detection kinds at the top, switch between list and grid views, search, export CSV, and print a report.
Log window featureDescription
List · GridList shows time, name, type, source, and value in columns; Grid shows photos at three sizes.
Search boxFilters the list as you type, matching name, value, type, and source.
Arrows beside the periodSteps backward and forward by the same span. With the period set to one day, this allows day-by-day review without reselecting dates.
Export CSVExports the currently displayed records with time, name, type, source, and value.
Print reportGenerates a printable report including the photos.
Note Records produced by face recognition, custom classification, or anomaly detection can be corrected directly in the log, feeding the correction back into training. Because this shows the model exactly the scenes it misjudged, under real lighting and angles, it is the most efficient way to improve accuracy. For videos, pause on the desired frame first.
Caution Deletion cannot be undone. Records are deleted by moment, so other entries written at the same instant are deleted together. The confirmation dialog shows how many additional entries are affected. Entries still recording are skipped; retry shortly.

Record Retention

The gear icon beside the time range sets how much the controller retains. When the limit is exceeded, the oldest records are deleted first.

Limit TypeDescriptionDefault
NoneKeeps everything until the disk is full.-
SizeKeeps up to a total size.1,024 MB
CountKeeps up to a number of records.100,000
DurationKeeps records for a number of days.30 days (default)
Note The default is Duration · 30 days. Adjusting the value to match how far back you realistically review is recommended. Video clips are much larger than photos, so a shorter period reduces disk usage.
