Editing, Switching Off, and Deleting Alerts

The Alerts tab
Alerts appear in a single list.

The second line of each row names the cameras: the camera name for one camera, n cameras for several, or All cameras when every camera in the place is selected.

  • Edit: click a row to open Edit alert. Add or remove cameras, change what to detect and the hours, then click Save.
  • Switch off: use the switch on the row. A disabled alert keeps its settings and can be re-enabled at any time.
  • Delete: click the trash icon at the right of the row, then Delete in the confirmation dialog. Recordings already saved are kept.
Caution Edits, switches, and deletions also reach the device only after Save on the save bar at the bottom is clicked. When only alert switches changed, the device does not restart and the change applies immediately.
Caution All cameras means every camera that existed when the alert was set up. Cameras added later are not included automatically; edit the alert to add them.
Note Recording continues while an alert is off. Recording belongs to the camera, not to the alert: adding a camera creates its recording, and footage is saved whenever a person is detected, even with no alerts. The alert switch only determines whether the phone is notified.
Alerts with a message shown underneath

An alert with a message underneath does not fire, and its switch is locked as well; pressing it has no effect. Resolve the cause in the table below first.

MessageCauseResolution
Silent: this camera is turned offEvery camera the alert watches is off. If only some are off, the alert keeps working on the others.Turn the camera back on.
Stopped: face recognition is offA face alert while face recognition is off.Turn on Settings > Face recognition. The alert returns to the state it had before.

A row labeled Record only, no alert is an alert created in an older version without a phone notification. Alerts created in the current version always include a phone notification.
