PID Control

Settings → PID Control registers the controllers used by the PID Control action. The setting defines the control direction and the output range.

• Control Mode: Direct (the default) is for systems where the measured value rises as the output rises (e.g. raising pump flow raises the tank level). Reverse is for systems where the measured value falls as the output rises (e.g. raising compressor speed lowers the refrigerator temperature).
• Limit Output: When on, the PID result is clamped between Minimum Output (0 by default) and Maximum Output (255 by default). It is off by default, and the two fields appear only while it is on.
