Local Screen Limitations

Live view, recording search, camera and action setup, and face and vehicle registration work the same as with remote access. The differences are:

• Phone notifications: You can't add a Phone notification action, because phone notifications are sent through your Grablo account. Play media, Read text aloud, Telegram, Webhook, Home Assistant, and Zigbee actions are available. Telegram needs the device to be connected to the internet, and a webhook needs the device to be able to reach the address you entered.
• Media files: For Play media, you choose the path of a file on the device instead of uploading one.
• Places: The local screen shows only the place on this device. You can rename it, but adding, duplicating, and deleting places, the trash, and Multi-site view are available only with remote access.
• Device Manager: Device Manager has no Add Device or Disconnect option, because the local screen is always connected to this device.
• Updates: Update notifications appear only when the device is connected to the internet. Updating works the same as with remote access.
• Internet access: The AI models for person, face, and vehicle detection, license plate reading, and Read text aloud are downloaded once, the first time each is needed. Help (this manual) in the account menu also requires an internet connection.
