Unit Conversion

Converts length, pressure, energy, speed, temperature, astronomical distance, angle, coordinates (degrees/minutes/seconds), and compass direction. The input and output units are selected from the block's dropdowns. Use the Angle Unit Conversion block to match degrees and radians in calculations that mix them, such as the trigonometric functions and coordinate conversion.

Length Unit Conversion

Converts between units of length. Supported units: meters (m), inches (in), feet (ft), yards (yd), miles (mi), nautical miles (nm), fathoms (ftm). Example: 1 meter → 39.37 inches

Pressure Unit Conversion

Converts between units of pressure. Supported units: meters H2O (mH2O), Torr, technical atmospheres (at), atmospheres (atm), Pascals (Pa), bars (bar). Example: 1 atmosphere → 101,325 Pascals

Energy Unit Conversion

Converts between units of energy. Supported units: Joules (J), calories (C), watt-hours (Wh). Example: 1 calorie → 4.184 Joules

Speed Unit Conversion

Converts between units of speed. Supported units: m/s, km/h, knots (kn), mph. Example: 100 km/h → 27.78 m/s

Temperature Unit Conversion

Converts between temperature scales. Supported units: Kelvin (K), Celsius (℃), Fahrenheit (F), Rømer (°Rø), Rankine (°R). Example: 20℃ → 68°F

Astronomical Distance Unit Conversion

Converts between astronomical distance units. Supported units: meters (m), astronomical units (AU), parsecs (pc), light-years (ly). Example: 1 light-year → 9.461 × 10¹⁵ meters

Angle Unit Conversion

Converts an angle between degrees (°) and radians (rad). Degrees to radians multiplies by π/180; radians to degrees multiplies by 180/π. Example: 90° → 1.571 radians

Convert Coordinate DMS to Decimal Degrees

Converts a coordinate in degrees, minutes, and seconds to decimal degrees. Example: 37° 33′ 51.17″ → 37.564214°

Convert Decimal Degrees to DMS

Converts decimal degrees to degrees, minutes, and seconds and returns them as a list. Example: 37.564214° → [37, 33, 51.17]

Convert Angle to Compass Direction

Converts an angle to one of the eight compass directions: N (north), NE (northeast), E (east), SE (southeast), S (south), SW (southwest), W (west), NW (northwest). Example: 45° → "NE", 180° → "S"
